Water Overview

Water Supply Plant

Where Does the Meridian Ranch Community's Water Come From?

The District provides the Meridian Ranch residents with a reliable supply of quality water by using a wide array of groundwater wells and a sophisticated water system. The District pumps the groundwater from a mix of the 15 on-site and 6 off-site wells. These wells are located in the Denver basin aquifer, which consist of the Dawson, Denver, Arapahoe, and Laramie Fox Hills aquifers. There are also two wells located in the Upper Black Squirrel Alluvium Aquifer. From there, the water is piped to the community through almost 94,000 feet of pipe. That's about 18 miles of pipes. In total, the District has over 22 miles of water-system pipes.
