March 17, 2020 Update
Message to Meridian Ranch residents about the Corona virus pandemic:
Our water is safe to drink. The Recreation Center will be closed until April 16.
The Meridian Service Metropolitan District is pursuing all necessary steps to assure the continued safe and reliable operation of public water supply and sewage systems which are necessary for public health.
The public water supply is safe to drink and will not contribute to the spread of the Corona virus. The World Health Organization has conducted scientific studies and concludes that public water systems that use chlorine and other accepted disinfection methods are sufficient to support public health. As with most public water systems, our Meridian Ranch water maintains a chlorine residual from the water treatment plant all the way to the household taps.
In compliance with the Colorado Governorís announcement on March 16, the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center will be closed at least until April 16, 2020. During the public closure, our staff will be working on disinfection, deep cleaning and facility maintenance.
